Im getting ready to get serious with my 58 custom 300 finally. Im hoping to build something along the lines of the Alexander Bros. 56 ford "Victorian". Just curious to know if there is anybody here with mild to wild 58s. Thanks guys!

This wild in progress 58 teleported itself on the hamb from a Swedish event held last week.
I'd love to see the front, or have more info on it for that matter, fuckin wild car.

  10. That is the rout I am going on my '56 is the "Victorian" it's one of my favorite customs. The Alexander Brothers made it out of a '55 though not a '56:cool: Also you asked about lowering it you should use 3" blocks in the back and for the front go with some Ford Aerostar coil springs (Moog CC850). They will drop the front around 2.5". Will be the perfect look for your '58. Good luck and keep us updated, not enough custom '58's out there and they DO make badass customs!

I love that style!!!!! If i were better at bodywork, i would aim more at a ford version of the oriental (herb gary built 57 olds) maybe next go around...

The fins are extended 5" and the taillight is -59 Bonneville.
The frontfenders are extended 2-3" and the grille is widened and custom made in stock-style.
Air ride is mounted all over and the rear is modified with K-link.

^^^ you read my mind! lol.

Froggen dude, can you show me how you set up the antennas on the roof?
I wanted to do the same, but because you need drain tubes or at least holes for water, i thought they needed too much space and was too much of a hassle.
    How did you do it?

I seldom see 58's at events, the in progress car is awesome, as are the Swedish delite, and the super smooth baby blue/white coupe hardtop. That beautiful gold side trim is choice, some great styling work on the hoods, center antenna, beautiful grill metal, just all around neat cars. Good to see some on here, thanx! ~sololobo~

Hey! never noticed the center antenna till now that you said it! and ive seen that car many times. Super detail if you ask me.
Antennas are one of the coolest touches in kustom if you ask me, and the weirdest the location the better.

Hey Froggen, is that a custom grille surround, or a 57 surround and extended 58 mesh?

    lukey,
The grille is custom made in laser cut aluminium, I use the stock hole style and write it up in A CAD-program, then i send the file to A company that work with laser cutting.

Hey froggen, what did u do with the headlights? Cut the bezel and mould the top? Can I get some more detail shots of your car? Anything that's been changed...I gotta say, it's definitely one of my favorite 58s out there!!!
