We had big expectations for Finland Turku Kustom Show this year. This small group of local people had done huge amount of work with advertising and booking bands etc. We have no longer the famous Do-Dads event for hot rod and kustom people here and the Turku show is pretty much the one and only ol' skool event at the moment. It started as a modified motorcycle show, but this was the 3rd year with hot rods and kustoms as well.

Let me put this straight: No disappointments!!! What a huge success the Turku kustom show was for all of us. Huge amount of choppers, bobbers, custom bikes, classic bikes and of course the best kustom cars of Finland. And the coolest hot rods. Sunshine. Nice people. A well-organized event. Bands. I will let the photos speak for themselves. Enjoy.

First our little get-together at the morning. I was with my 53-Chebby.

After this photo my battery exhausted. I had a entertaining way back home. Broke my car in a serious bumb but nothing a welder could fix. I had a chance to visit a local hotrodder's garage, it was fun. 500 kilometers with a Chevy. It was a good day. See you next year. :)

Yep, you have to be dedicated to be a Hot Rodder in Europe. Any detail shots of the cycles?

Won the best of Show so you have soulmates ;)
Turku itself is the oldest city in Finland (850+yrs) the former capitol and the place for the meet was the Paavo Nurmi Stadium the upper fields at the Hammer throw field.
There's lots of Fine places to set up a meet like this.

Thanks! I mostly want to know the story on the chop and the suspension. I have a '37 Dodge pickup that I'll be working on one of these days. I'll send you a PM so I don't hijack the thread. :D

You guys put on an awesome show! Always amazed to see the dedication to the American iron overseas.
