The Rumblers show was just shut down by the NYPD because some idiot dumped his bike in the street.Riot gear and everything. If you didn't leave they were going to tow your car.The show was calmer than usual this year but the cops didn't care.I hope they have the show next year. Thanks guys for what started out as a great show. I hope this dosent effect next year!!!!

I missed the crash but suffered the consequences. I really hope this dosent effect next year the Rumblers work hard to put on a great show and it costs alot of $$$ to put a show on in NYC.

Some shit bird falls off his motorcycle out in the street which means the cops shut down the car show? Only in New York.
Damn I'm glad I don't live there, cause I'd just have to move.

I said to one of the guys that I was there with, that it seemed to be getting worse on the streets, and it was just a matter of time before they shut it down. I left about 2:30,
but it was the best one so far. Hopefully they'll have it next year. Really good show

WOW!! Cant imagine what a mess it must have been. I was there till about 1:30 the show is way bigger (and better up till the "incident") than ever. The cars were packed in pretty tight. I really hope this doesnt effect the future.

Show was great! The guy on the bike was not the reason it got shut down! It didn't help but the angels started a fight in the bar and when they got in the street 2 of them started with the cops. That started the shut down.....

Just how does one "Dump a Bike" are there rules of etiquette that were broken? Are there Rice Rocket, Euro, and good old USA versions?

If somebody dropped their ride in front of my show I'd demand the feds move in and shut it all down too!

It wasn't because of the guy dumping his Harley when the rear belt snapped. Apparently there was some trouble and the cops decided it was getting too crazy. But it really wasn't compared to previous years. It's always a great time.

    Thanks for my new signature.

I'm a little surprised at how much mayhem was tolerated until the end, but I am not a new yorker, so my sensibilities are somewhat delicate. It seemed like everything escalated to the point where the cops had to back down or shut down, and they can't really back down & uncuff people, so it was time for lots of cops in riot gear.

Shows have a critical mass where they get too big to be easily managed, and that may be what happened here.

It was my first time at the show and hopefully not the last.
