Hey guys Andy here. I live in east Aurora ColoRodo I got hooked on old cars because of that American Graffitti movie. I am currently rebuilding my 62 futura for the second time, but on this go around I am opening up the rear wheel wells for more of a gasser look. I also have a 61 falcon ranchero all original for the most part. I have a few friends that frequent this site so I thought I should get with the program. Andy
Hey Andy. It's about damn time. Welcome to the hamb. We will have to start a new thread for your falcon under your name.
Would you guys please educate Andy on what a Falcon should look like...slammed on the ground to within 4 inches of the pavement, shiny paint and not flat black, maybe some five-spoke wheels on blackwalls and a car/engine he can take out on the highway for a 500 mile trip... Oh, hi Andy, welcome to the HAMB... R-
Oh you know he likes the gasser style and that is what he is shooting for not a custom. It will be shiny this time with a new style of wheel? The engine is not the problem it's a hot little 289 with that top loader 4 speed. I especially like to follow behind his car, because it sounds like the bullet mustang when he goes through the gears at a low speed. It's the rear gears that inhibits a long trip. It is what it is...John
Welcome from Maryland. What Part of Aurora are you located? I lived years ago in the Mission Viejo area by Cherry Creek Res. We used to own the Bumper to Bumper Auro parts store there.
I live near tower rd. and mississippi by buckley airforce base. Been here in aurora all my life I know the area you said you lived but I cant place bumper to bumper autoparts when about was this?
Thanks guys for all the welcomes my friends have been on here for quite awhile I guess its about time I joined to. See you guys on the board!!
Thanks Roger but I will say if my car were ever 4 inches of the pavement it would be do to a flat tire. Its gonna have shiny paint this time and when john and i get a chance I 'm gonna start a build thread on it so you can see what I have done so far when I'm done people are going to think it is a different car. I was at john's the other day working on it and his neighbor came over and thought it not the same car you'll see!!
