my Grandson gets his choice, either my 75 Yamaha XS650 bobber, or my 56 F100... he is almost 3, and right now, I think he's choose the Yamaha... he LOVES "Tampaw's" bobber....

As far as the chrome goes, Im leaning more twords some kind of a coating instead of real chrome, just because of the embrittling factor. Oh well for now I am just having fun driving the thing.

Looking good Jim; have you thought about having another open house?

  11. For years I've seen people post "that's fixable- just look at what Jim Sibley can do" but I never actually saw any of it. That's a beauty. I checked out your website too. I have an Uncle in DeerPark, I bet he's aware of your magic. He's a goofy old guy in a 34 roadster with a full house flatty.

Wayfarer, that would be fun. We should do a barbecue. Maybe in July?

Oh yea, sure. I tried that with my wife too, "really sweety, this car is for our daughter" Just cause they married us doesnt mean they are THAT gullible...

  18. You'll probably wear out the drivetrain before he gets his license! !!!

I guess that way he'll have something to work on to keep him out of trouble! Nice ploy.

Actually my kid has been working in it since he was old enough to hold a piece of sandpaper. He has almost 100 hours in this thing over the course of his life.He chose the style of build, color and even the flame
Layout. It truly is his car. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1405149964.667158.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1405149999.799442.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1405150014.550412.jpg

Looks killer, you can have chrome treated but it needs to be done straight after its chromed. I got my front axle done and it wasnt expensive

I drove it tonight. The new
    Blower runs hard. More
Boost and a little bump in the timing. Ouch, it is fast!

  28. Man,your son is now around 11 years old and has a blown Deuce..how cool is that?

I bought my first 5 window at 12 and my dad tried to skin me alive,he wasn't into old cars.

Working with your son and teaching him that hard work pays off and the experience helps build a bond that will last a lifetime..you sir are to be commended!

BTW,would you like to adopted your son a 64 year old brother? icon_lol.gif HRP

Too cool, that car is just mean looking. Sure would shake things up in the school parking lot.
