Here's a link to one of my folders on my Flickr; http://www.flickr.com/photos/kustom55/sets/72157604405951645/ Any particular year or model your looking for?
I wouldn't say its chopped or bagged, cause it's not. But here's my '57 mild custom. Shaved deck, removed some trim, lowered 3 inches all around, 55 wheel covers.... Nothing major, but looks exactly how i wanted it. Check out my build thread or profile for more photos.
Pontiacs are so underrated and under used as customs in this hobby. The 55,57,50 can be such killer customs. I owned a 55 starchief with the indian lucite hood ornament that lit up when the lights went on.. That in itself was the best thing about cruising that ride
Here's my '56: She's still a long term work in progress....needs lots of bodywork before real paint and interior and all sorts of other things. Anyhow, I'd love to see some VINTAGE pics of custom Pontiacs! I always look for them in old mags and even search the backgrounds. Rarely do I see any Pontiacs, let alone customs!
Get yourself a copy of the Jan '58 Rod & Custom. One of the best looking '55 Cheiftains I've ever seen, would love to know if the car still exists.
Heres one of the baddest full custom Pontiacs around My buddy Angels fastback. Stole these pics from different threads on here.
Nothing too special...Lowered it 3 in the back and 2 in the front...added a couple teeth to the grill and did some interior work...still running the old flat 6 with a three speed...get's quite a few looks. Was thinking of choppin and baggin her, but she's too nice for now.
Very nice rides everyOne, I'm getting a 50 chieftain off a buddy, it is on a Monte Carlo chassis, and I want chop it and maybe airride it!!
Heres a link to mine. But its only just started http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=402260
Here's a few tired old picture of mine. Since this was taken (6 years ago) it's gone through a few changes including 4" drop in the rear and 6 1/2" in the front. Not 50's but close 48. I agree that these cars have been overlooked. Most all I have seen have been good solid cars to work with. I had a 47 fastback but had to sell it in order to finance this one. 48 Poncho
