    if any of yall hambers see this deisel powered truck in bonneville, stop him and say hello. he's driving it with his young son from mt. pleasant sc to the salt flats. i just got off the phone with him and he's in new mexico. no problems so far and he's getting 40 + mile per gallon .his name is jeff[ safari tow on here] i'm proud of my friend, OT engine or not!.............and no A.C.

    the crazy looking diesel and over z'd rear frame is about all i would change.

    I would just change those rear tires, but other than that, it's pretty cool.

    he told me that when he gets back, he will change the rear rims and tires and do some stuff to the engine to make it haul ass.

    My father and I made the trip from Long Island to the Salt Flats about 4 years ago in his 52 business coupe that we built and painted in the garage. It was one of the best things I have ever done.

    Hey everyone, thanks for the kind words, my son and I made it to Bonneville today WOW this is awsome, Everyone is so nice and the cars, wow.. This.has to be the best father son deal anyone anyone could do.

    Hey your my hero ! man what does that engine weigh. My son keeps destroying ford 6 cylinders in his 62 falcon a 4tb would probaly be tuff for him to kill. I have 2 6tb's 1 12 valve and a 24 valve the 12 is going into a 49 metro delivery. Did the 4tb come turboed and if not what size can I use. We have a full service fab shop so a mustang II with tube a arms and stiffer springs would not be a problem and what gear set and trany. We were gonna use a ls motor but a diesel sure sounds fun !
