Just joined H.A.M.B. I live in Colorado and am building a 1946 Ford Sedan. I am self taught shade tree mechanic, trying to chop the top and customize the fenders. A friend of mine introduced me to the website. Looking forward to gaining and sharing knowledge with fellow members.

If you have time, you should check out a pair of Fords that Choptvan (shannon) is working on, one 46, and one 47 The 47 has a mild chop, the 46 is chopped a lot, some custom car types would say too much, but it is my car, and that is what I wanted. The 46 is actually a repair job of a very poor chop job with several major mistakes (done by me about 15 years ago). You could probably learn quite a bit regarding getting the chop right on your car, as these are not the easiest body style to chop, especially if your going to try and take out over 4 inches.
Longmont guy here, building a 48 sedan. Check out my build thread and welcome! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=516341
