Due to unforseen circumstances, I will not make it this year.
However, this should open up a room at the Holiday Inn, I just called and cancelled my reservation.
This will be the first one that I have missed in five years.

I plan to be there. The re-building of my Gold Digger dragster has been painfully slow and expensive. I'm expecting the last batch of parts in today.

I'm just looking forward to driving to MoKan and taking chances on where to sleep. What's the rain plan if the race can't be run? Drive it to it because you like your hotrod that much as I do? I'm a short road guy compared to many that will be driving into that area, 300 miles or so one way.

One year the event got shortened because of a storm and the track lost power. Everyone went back to the host hotel and partied like there was no tomorrow. A hundred folks tight together under the front awning of the hotel. Was one of my most favority evenings of all the past 8 HAMB Drags that I've attended.

That was a fun night... the party... not the Monkey butt...

Reggie, no plan, flying solo. I figured the gameplan was as HRLC stated.
If I can get a shower while there, I will be there regardless of rain. I'm driving up Friday 19 on from NLR thru Hogtown to Joplin with no camp or where to stay plan.
I also know too many folks in Joplin had that delivered to them by the tornado.

 

i'm trying to talk myself into driving up...jut not sure what to do with the kids....duct tape came to mind....guess if it rains i could put a plastic bag over them. but them early sunday i have to go straight to okie city causr my wife will already be there dropping our oldest daughter off for college. so not sure yet what i'm doing.

 

Sometimes bad is good.

 

No excuses this year, gonna make it.

 

I will be there but the 40 is still apart so I will be bringing my newly purchased "A" Roadster instead, got to trailer it though, still Banger powered and don't want to chance that long of a drive in it in this heat!

Had some clutch issues at Salina- but back on the road and looking forward to leaving Thursday AM.

 

Me, Squeak and Marky. Cars are already in the way via Bonneville. Squeak, me and 4 other Kiwi's hit the road Tuesday and Marky is flying in. Can't wait!

I found this trailer full of old cars out in the middle of nowhere, called lost and found......has anybody claim them yet? if not I'd like to bring them to the drags for tons of fun and excitement!
