Congrats 2 your brother, I think the 50-53 Buicks are one of the best looking cars out there. I have a '53 special Riviera and a '53 4d Special. On the 4d I have suicided the rear doors and started the 4 inch chop. Here are a couple pics of the progress.

I've heard that a chopped 4 door is hard to do, but you did a great job! The lines are perfect!

  5. love these,
there is a cool one in the 'theory of a deadmans' -all or nothing music video at the end too if you are curious

Thanks for the compliments. I didn't want to take too much off as to make it look to cartoonish. In the pics you can see the roof hasn't been rounded back out, its still flat from the cutting and shrinking during the welding process. We ended up using a '50 Merc Rear window as it seems to fit the body nicely and rounds out the flow of the rear. Hopefully I can have more pics of it posted shortly.

There is a car lot in Arlington that has 2 of them for sale. One a driver and one a parts car. Both have the straight 8 in them.

I think the driver is 6k

Very nice, solid Buick to start with. I like the 55 Pontiac rear bumper. You brother has a nice score.

Here is how the Buick is looking as of Yesterday. Had to fix the front top so the windshield will lay in flush now. Using a 50 Merc back frame and window.

    Bump

Ill be joining the club unless the guy sells it out from underneath me, I'm heading to pick up a 1953 V8 Buick Special. It's a runner that just needs the door latch and tail lights installed to be road worthy.

Fatman dropped uprights in front, air ride front and rear, 2 inch c-notch in the frame in the back. The front and rear suspension is still stock other than those mods. I've been busy under the hood this summer, so I'll post pics of that later.

    Re: Rickster Bozio Buick

Built in 1956-57 out side of Hartford Ct. Was firtured in Custom Illistrated (?) in 1957.
I found the car in 1977 in a farmers yard up to the rocker panels in mud, filled with rat droppings. I bought the car and cleaned it up. freeded up the eng. A knock at the door and a man said I have to have that Buick. Looking at move to AZ. the money offered looked pritty good. He got the car drivabel, took it to Hersey Pa. And off to Sweeded. Last known pictures were in 1986. After moving to AZ. I could not get the Bozio Buick out of my mind. So I built one some what like it. Now enjoying it in north eastern Tn,
