Event Coverage Symco Shakedown Version 3, 2011 Edition. Aug 13-14

Three days to go till the shake down I am pumped, camping, drinkin and music

 

bump for the shakedown! Bob, 5:45am my house? whos leading the pack this year? i say you! old guy out front!

 

I'm almost ready. Officially leaving tomorrow afternoon for my 5 day lack of sleep! I came home this afternoon to the first package of goodies for this weekend....

 

I officially have over 100 pre-registered camp sites, not including any volunteers. It is going to be a good sized show this year. Thank you to everyone who sent in their money early. I really needed it this year and GREATLY appreciate the support!!

I have been getting email from all over the country from people wanting to get in with their car. I know of several people coming from over 1000 miles away!

I understand the Oliver Built Group is already in Symco and I'm jealous...however, I spent the last two weekends up there, so my fix is almost complete.

Hope to see everyone in a couple days. If anyone is coming through Oshkosh or Neenah and has an empty trailer hitch, I could use a hand hauling up the 235 chevy we are giving away.

 

I suppose I could drag my turd out for this....we'll see

 

I've gotta be approaching 150 hours into my '62 Chrysler since Iola and I'm down to the last two days but I'll be there come hell or high water. I just hope my camper didn't float away or sink axle-deep into the mud. Gonna be a good time.

 

took out a rod bearing sunday testing the new alchohol inj set up changed the rod and bearing tuesday afternoon. the coupe was running by six pm. nothing will keep me from this show it is the best around. leaving friday 5 am from franksville,wi

 

I am actually doing a 3 hour "shakedown" to the show with my 235! My father in law is coming from neenah to the show about 1:30 on friday if you need a hitch still. Or I can stop in neenah and load it into my truck...

Look for a red 58 fleetside! if we have troubles me and my copilot are riding the mini bike to the show "dumb and Dumber" style!!!
