Here's the latest updates I have.I've gotten some work done on the dash, I used 63 Impala gauges, new column.I have the tail lights done, its laying frame right now, but I'm planning on putting an s-10 frame, I had some issues with steering, that I hope will clear up with the new frame and air ride.

Great work. But I have to say I think you should have stuck with the widened quarters. The new peaked quarters just seem..."out".

Anyway, I admire the work you are doing regardless of my opinion. I love these types of threads.

Damn. You and your bud have done some awesome work. The chop was great, the widened stock fenders were great but I'm not feeling the rest of it. The front end doesn't go with the ass end, IMO. BUT, I'd be the first to tell you to build it like YOU want it.

BTW Do you have any other pictures (especailly from behind) of your rear quarters from when you had them widened before you started the new rear quarters. I was thinking about doing that to mine because the front fenders are so bulky.

My friend Miguel(Spanish Fly), has had a bit of a set back. A few weeks ago, Miguel was playing football with some guys from work, and got hit pretty hard off of the line.He went home with a nasty headache, woke up the next morning, went to work, full day, came home still had a dull headache. About 2am he woke up, with agonizing pain, and went to the E.R. where the doctors told him he had a brain bleed, and was extremely lucky he didn't pass away or be a parapalegic, he was in ICU for about 5 days. He is out of the hospital now, pretty much on bedrest, with physical theropy coming to help him get back on track. He's in good spirits, but will be out of work for at least 2 months. I'm sure he'll be back on here soon.

Miguel that makes my dislocated shoulder seem like small spuds. Take care and get well so you can get back on it.

The car is looking good. Are you going to bring the back end down a bit?

A friend of mine did a similar on his 46 Olds more door, big job like yours. Not for the faint-hearted. It was an unorthodox 5" chop starting at the trunk. He split the body and literally leaned the whole roof forward until it met again at the windscreen posts. He moved the 'B' and 'C' pillar sections back to mate with OEM pillars. Altered door frame and teardrop side 1/4 glass. Project is currently on hold.

I decided to split the hood. I split the hood, used a piano hinge from Home Depot. I used 1/2" square pipe down the center for support. I did mount the hood ornament and the trim back on. I'll take more pictures when I get a chance.

Miguel, what are you going to do to cover up the hinge part sticking out of the hood? Glad to see you better and back at it again, looking good.
