The city of Van Nuys turned 100 years old this year and they are holding their Centennial Celebration on Saturday, August 27th from 4-8 pm at the Van Nuys Civic Center. They are calling it "A Taste of Van Nuys" where you can sample food from over 20 restaurants, live music, Open House from the LAFD and car show. Pre-registration is $10.00. When you sign in at the show you will receive $5.00 in food coupons...So it's really a $5.00 show... Afterwards there will of course be cruising of Van Nuys Blvd... All proceeds go to the After School Program for at risk children and the Mid Valley Community Police Council.
