Hottest time of the year in one of the hottest places in the world and nothing to do?? Once again, the Hell City Saints come to the rescue! We have put together a 'Misery Run' from Phoenix to Globe. We know that your hot rod can make it across town in December, but how about 95 miles across Arizona when it's 115 degrees??

Stock up on coolant and blocks of ice. We're rolling out of Phoenix, 8am Saturday morning from So-Cal Speed Shop and staying the night in Globe at the Motel 6 (and yes, they have a pool!). We have a discount rate for rooms if you mention the Hell City Saints - Misery Run ($42 for double rooms $39 for singles). Everyone is welcome to join in on this good time. Anyone driving a pre-65 American made automobile will receive a commemorative patch to honor your rod's reliability!!

Very cool idea. If I was close by I would be up for it.

Shucks, try 100+ with 90+ % humidity... that's the Houston area Texas Gulf Coast in August and that's HOT.

A little heat shouldn't slow anybody down, but it does sometimes slow down a car.

Born and raised in Dallas, so I know what you're talking about! Don't miss that humidity.

This should be a great time. Hopefully we can make it an annual run. Hot rodders around here tend to crawl into their (air conditioned) caves from June till the end of October, so this will be a nice way to get together with some friends we haven't seen in a while.

    Come one, come all!

Just made a 200 mile (round trip) test run to Prescott in ~100 degree heat. Hovered right at 200 during the uphill climb. Not too bad , but I think I'm going to need a shroud before the Misery Run.

For our friends in the east valley, we will now have a stop at the QuickTrip on Greenfield, just south of the 60 at ~9am so you guys don't have to back track. FYI
