What do Edsel valve covers look like? Do they have 5 mounting holes like other Ford heads such as maybe a 352 or 390?
Depends on what engine you had, the E-400 is a 361 and shares the valve cover pattern with the FE series engines, the E-475 is a 410 cubic inch and shares the valve cover pattern with the MEL engines. Those were both in '58, in '59 and '60 you had the option of a 292 (Y block Ford valve covers) a 322 (which I think is another FE, not sure) and an inline 6 which also shared a valve cover with the Ford.
In 1958 the FE's has E-400 covers, but in 1959 they had baldy's. (not sure on a '60) Just put a set of E-400's on the '64 390, going in my '59 Edsel Wagon.
Anybody know what the 223 6 cylinder cover looks like? Is it a baldy too? If they're embossed, I'd love to find one for my '48 F1. That would confuse some people. *EDIT* I missed that the first time. The Edsel cover says Ford? my 223 is embossed Ford but I know they also came smooth.
or FORD. I have a set of FORD and a set of MERCURY FE valve covers. I looked for a set of EDSEL but found they had the E400 on them.
