Stainless Tig Filler Rod Recommendation

    going to be wleding some polished stainless f1 shock mounts... What would the correct filler rod be so that i can grind and polish the weld joint when done. I see 3 types listed on mcmaster 308, 312, and 316

    You need to know what the mounts are made of to know which filler rod to use.

    If it s.s. it will Most likey be 308 but you'll want 308 L rod The L for low carbon most s.s is 308..if you use 316 rod you will see it when you polish it out
