i think its a weiand but dont know for sure id like to find one like this to put back on the car thank you
I think its either a Weiand or Cragar...the Horne intake doesnt have the shoulders for the bolts like the Cragar and the Weiand too. I would say the Weiand is much more common which is relative...theyre both rare. Personally I think its a Weiand....
hi, thanks for the help. now i just need to find a weiand intake, does anyone have an idea where to find one or how much a fair price is for one? thanks again tony
A Cragar 4x2 Hemi intake just sold for $1575. I would think that your weiand intake would be in the same ballpark.
The Weiand WC245 intake doesn't use a plenum under the carbs making progressive linkage nearly impossible. Good luck in your search.
I ran a WC245 in my coupe for a number of years with a dual progressive setup. #3 opened first, followed by #2 , and then #1&4. They opened at different rates so they were all open at WOT. I got decent cruise mileage and power when standing on it. I got around the intakes issues but making a plenum box that sat between the carbs and the intake. I sold it to an fellow HAMBer in Australia so I could buy the injection for the digger. Here are a couple of pics.
hi, yes it did see that one, thank you. take away the top bidder who now already has one and that auction would have ended at $1060. thanks for all of the help!
Kerry: So is your FED certified? Did you do any shakedown runs yet, have not seen any updates other than you had engine problems I think I read. Very anxious to see how your Dragmaster build is doing at the track. I am finding it quite amusing the variation in opinions of different NHRA divisional chassis inspectors on what they interpret as legal per SFI specs for these various Dragmaster builds. NHRA has no consistency whatsoever in SFI tech interpretations. Hope all is Well! Allen in Pa,
Interesting! Strange that they'd be red though. And I'd vote for it being a Weiand also. Just saw another Cragar 4x2 sell for almost $1700 on eBay, still haven't seen a Weiand in person. Which is strange, because I've now seen two different Horne 4x2's in person, and they had to have made a lot more of those Weiand's.
Still very curious about those wires... Could simply be boots, but they look pretty specific to the application.
