I will be driving my same old Airflow,my 5 th year. I have heard that a bunch of guys from Denver are going. Word got out about the show. Its only a 6 hour drive from here. For you first timers The Oases truck stop near Colby Kansas on I 70 is a great gas and rest stop. They have resturants ,shops and A/C,We usually run into more Kustoms there on there way to the show. We found out that Thursday is the best day to go,leave early to beat the heat.Plenty to see and do when ya get there.
I just realized that my Galaxie is technically a first timer for this show. Odd since its my home town show. Of course I'll be there with my camera shooting photos to document the show & I'm going to attempt some videos to help document the cars and the people. If anyone would like special photos of their car, P.M. me or look for the fat guy with a goatee & a tan floppy hat And if anyone has an emergency while in or near town, there's a bunch of locals with access to tools, trailers & shop space.
Just got my Hot Rod truck (1976 Chevy) out of Calvin Customs...I got less than a week to get her back together...I WILL make it...also bringing my 1962 Impala...SEE YA ALL THERE...It WILL be HOT!!! 106 today
I'll be in the Merc, with the new motor and tranny. The primer is showing a bit of road rash Next year, I'll have some additional body changes and a new shade of primer. I'm ready to go!! Happy Trails, Mick
I just got mine today, Friday. My number is 999. We have to head south a little ways to cross the mighty er ragging Misouri River.
I'm bring my 47 pickup and we are bringing my dad's 30 Model A coupe that was finished in 1955 and has had nothing done to it since..
Awe man I wanted to go but time and money don't allow it.. But I still want to shoot that coupe at some point.. It's on my list.. Wish I could of gone and seen it in person.. It's one of my favorite coupe built!!
Both the cars I am here with are new to the show and one is pretty new altogether My friend Raul's 50 Buick - this one is now stripped down and in patina and primer and awaiting new paint. My friend Steve's 39 Ford truck with a bike in the back I too will be running around and taking pictures and like Travis will be available if you want anything special. I look quite a bit geekier and have a green floppy hat and a knee pad. Looking forward to tomorrow!
