Event Coverage Syracuse Nats 2011 Pic Thread

anybody get a pic of that lil chevy pickup, sat out by the stage on saturday, dude was from florida maybe? had a florida plate ziptied on the back.

 

thanks... you should have walked up the steps behind the truck and introduced yourself...there were lots of cold beers in the cooler

 

just got back great show will do again motels were loaded at nights also personal car shows all over

 

I'll keep that in mind for next year, minus the beers of course, I'm only 17 haha

 

Lots of nice cars this year, a few goofballs like some local's '85 Ford stake truck with the front clip cut off and the hood cut to a V to mate to what looked like a '36 Chevy grille. I didn't get to walk around too far, but the '56 Chevy full custom and the candy gold custom '58 T-bird in the Horticulture building were favorites.

Thanks for posting the pictures and thanks for noticing my lil old Model A truck. I had a blast racing it on the track.

Did anyone capture the races?

 

I got some of the girls that where up for the Pin Up contest. I even had the pleasure of having one getting pics in my truck.

Saturday was my first time to Syracuse Nats and it will now be a yearly trip.
What an awesome show. Even managed to load the truck up with some
parts.

That Milner clone was bad ass and the owner treated it like a Hot Rod. He ran that thing hard against a monster truck on the dirt. Did you get pics of that race buy any chance?

i stopped and looked at that lawnmower a couple times!

the chopped black buick was built by a local guy here, Marty Peirson, who just passed away a couple weeks ago. he did the gevo truck also.
