OK Ladies and Gentlemen I finially have a long awaited update on
"Lit up". Been on vacation so it's my fault this has taked so long. Right now as we look at this thread the truck is completely torn apart and then going to be put back together in bare metal. Thats the way it will be at the Street Rod Nationals and the rest of the summer. Enjoy

Here is a shot of the tail gate getting ready to section it. He cut it like this so he could keep the ford script in the middle of the tail gate.

    After welding it together

Here are the start of the headers for the 330 Olds motor. You ought to see thiese headers in person. There very impressive. Notice the middle ports. The 2" pipe has been cut and spread apart to catch both ports.

A quick shot of what the tail lights are going to look like.

And finially a shot of every thing mocked up and ready to take apart. The only thing that is not done is the front fenders are not radiused yet. He has to do that so the front tires can turn without any problem.

I will try to do another update before the Street Rod Nationals.

Yes, You have a keen eye. I know the paint will want to burn off so I made these covers to cover that. Thanks for all the comments. Thanks Ricky for doing the thread. Jimmy

  15. Piero...you should be there with camera in hand...this guy needs his own vol. of MFS... with that said..I'm freakin ashamed to call myself a metalworker..this guy has to be one of the most talented metalworkers I have seen....unbelievable.

  16. Wow!! Looks great! I cannot wait to see this in paint as Lit Up is my favorite Weezner painting but it is almost a shame to cover all that incredible metal work.

Just curious, is Jimmy self-taught or did he learn under someone else?

    That truck is just stunning.
