I have an 88 s10 rear in my 39 streetrod with 4:11's. From what I have found it is a 3 series eaton posi carrier. Could I put 2:73's on this carrier with the spacer kit?
    Thanks

you need a negative thickness spacer to go that way....spacers only let you put steeper gears on a lower number carrier

Get the right carrier for it

If you looking for higher gear maybe change to another rearend.I,m running a Granda 8" with 2.78 gears. No posi only thing wrong with gears that high you have to run smaller tire.
    I'm running in my 39 ---205/70/15 2000rpms =55 mph.

Thanks for the info. Guess I will try to find a set of 3:23's for my carrier.
