Thanks Kirk, great job as always... I love Columbus but I've only been luck enough to make it to that show once. Ever since then, I've tried to get back there but something always happens. Next year, I am there though. No excuses! Great photos.

    BITCHIN' just plain BITCHIN' !!!!

  5. I know I promised Ryan & metalshapes that I wouldn't start anymore drama on the H.A.M.B. ... but I've just gotta say that Goodguy's choice for SROY is spot-on!

Phil Becker's Deuce 3wd (built by Dave @ FastLane Rod Shop) is a great mix of Street Rod and Traditional Hot Rod ... I think it's just plain bitchin' (mustard paint and all):

  6. thanks kirk it was another AWESOME show there was one thing...has to be... i for one wasnt real happy with the placement of the autocross course it (in my opinion) would have been placed better over in the parking lot on the otherside of the street where the spectators came in

i re-uped my membership at columbus and i cant wait for indy thinking of possibly heading over to joliet also

There's a whole lot of traditional in the mix with this car. I'd sure as hell own it and drive it!

  8. Thanks for the pictures.

Up front was one of the possible locations, but there was an issue with tearing up the concrete there vs the asphalt out back.

I think he was from NY if I remember correctly.

I gave him the "Suede and Chrome" pick.

Thanks for the super photos of Columbus. I have not seen Phil Becker (Mustard 3 window) in many years but when I last saw him he had a very nice Deuce Vicky. I feel like I walked the show myself with your great photos and similar taste as mine in cars.

These are the pics I was waiting for... great job as always Kirk...

I was there all weekend (very first car parked inside the main gate!) but I didn't even bother taking pics because i knew when I came home I'd find this thread and the pics would blow away any I'd have taken anyhow.

    I was right!

The dash/gauge cluster and shrunk down early porsche steering wheel are SOO pretty on that car Dave built. It makes my heart go pitter-patter.

The whole car is very elegant/pretty. Not quite my sensibilities/preferences, but rolling art none the less...

One suggestion. Post show coverage more often...

Do you post the off topic rides on the GG forum?? i want to see pictures of the street machine contestants.. or do I have to wait until the mag has the coverage

(sent you an email at work)...

Thanks for all the hard work invested. Wonderful pics all. But I wonder .... has your alter ego, the Fonz, left the scene? Where are the strange, off center, and amusing photos? I always look forward to those (probably more than the run of the mill beautiful stuff, I go to car shows and I o.d. on perfect cars, perfect interiors, perfect chrome, perfect paint, awesome engines, etc...). In my old age I really like to see the humanity, the good, the bad, the ugly.

    And again, thanks. John
