Look out DFW! The Chupacabra car club has done gone and gotten all artsy on ya! The club has always been a mix of guys that are handy with a pen and paint brush as well as a hammer and a torch. So we have decided to have our first official Gallery Art show. Mark your calendars for July 23 and 24 and come see what happens when the garage culture invades an art gallery in Cow Town. The Chupacabra car club presents "Motor Lisa" Works of art from members of the club plus other fine art from special guest. Saturday night July 23 will be the opening where you can mix and mingle with artsy types, listen to DJ Repo spinnin tunes all night long and top it off with some of Bubba Luvs famous Bar-B-Que brisket! Edible art so to speak. Along with a tasty beverage of course. The show will be held at the SOMA studio/gallery 203 Bryan Ave. in the Near South Side district of Ft. Worth. Two Blocks south of 30 and 1 block off Main St. on Bryan Ave. (next to the Landers Machine Shop Gallery). See ya there, Its gonna be a party!
"Are the pieces for sale?" roger that bud....your support not only helps us buy more paints and parts, but also goes to support the fine establishment hosting this rockin' event!!
I'll be sure to bring the duckets then! Could one of you guys PM some info on your club. Rules and such, member requirements. Seems that this club actually does stuff. What with one of the best shows around under its belt and all.
I do have one Johnny Ace/ Roth monster shirt from my private collection that will be on display but not for sale. If your lookin to buy he does have a really good website where he sells all kinds of cool stuff.
What a great Idea, I have seen the work these guys put out and it is worthy of an art show, will be there for sure. Dennis
Love the name: Chupacabra car club! Do you have a live Chupacabra for a mascot, didn't the police of a southern Texas city spot one walking down a street? Sure would be funny to have a live one!
There should be around 6 live ones walking around Saturday night. Pretty harmless, just dont bring your goat!
This could be a blast I would love to bring some of my work. I might even make a new piece just for the show!
aw yeah! I gotta let a little bit of the chupe outta tha bag! I had a special secret meeting with Repo today and received intelligence on some secret work going on in Azle last night! Can you smell Bubba's Pork cookin'??? Here's a teaser!
