  2. There's gotta be a good story there . . . Like driving an FED doesn't take huge enough stones on it's own, having a DC-7 20 feet above you as well, wow! :eek:

    I remember this car from when I was just knee high at Raceway Park... It was stunning in appearance and quick on the strip...

    I'm wondering if that's Kalitta in the plane. Is that a Pennzoil logo on the nose?

    The driver/owner of the Smirnoff dragster is course Darryl Greenmayer (spl) who also raced planes and piloted the SR-71. It was a publicity stunt of course. As to the pilot being Kalitta, dont think so. Greenmayer had lots of contacts in the aeroplane biz

    Do you think that there is enough metalflake in the paint? Classic early 70's style of paint scheme.

    back in the days when you could sit in the bleachers at Lions and get a photo like this....glad I was there back then, nothing will ever compare to those years

    Muttley great stuff...That Eastern Automotive Opel GT is beautiful. I love the late 60s early 70s era of door slammers and funnycars the best.
