I just stumbled across this post. The 3w restoration I have been documenting for the past 2 years didn't have a body tag, but the VIN was still on the frame rail. Took some real forensic work, but it was still there.

  2. Here is mine. My father owns two more. So count us in for three three windows.[IMG]

I know of one locally that has been in a garage for at least 30 years and maybe a lot longer.Owner goes off the deep end if you ask if it's for sale.Have no idea what the body # is but you can add it to the count. Bob

Gary has owned this 3W for a long, long time, bought it when the prices were in the hundreds. It's never been apart, rumble seat car, August serial # and the body tag is B520B-4988.

Here's mine...found on Kraigs List of all places. I've been told it came out of the mid west and was a channeled car when it came east so no tags. Re-done in the mid seventies.

Kool info, Tilbury is just outside Windsor ON (across the river from Detroit), and I have never guess they made anything there back in the 30's.

It's under the right front edge of the seat, on the forwardmost steel cross rail that the back edge of the wooden floorboard rests on. It's riveted to the top of the cross rail. "Deuce Roadster" posted a picture on post # 27 on page 2 of this thread that shows where it's located, so check that out.

  30. Here's mine. Someday I'm going to blow it apart and ditch the restorod look and make it a traditional Hot Rod again. I'll look for the body tag when I gut the 70's GM red velour interior. Ugh! I would like to find some history on it too. It was originally bought in 1973 somewhere in LA by Kenny Walsh who brought it back to Ft. Dodge, IA and built it as a Hot Rod. I have pics of when it was sitting in front of a house in LA where he bought it. Kenny said it had roll bar mounts in it and may have been drag raced. The pics are still up in SD and I'll post them when I get them down here. The next owner, Dallas ????? changed it to the restorod look and put a lot of miles on it. It then passed through two more owners with me buying it from Don Bratt from Grand Rapids, MI in 1998.
