Gary C - that purple rod is out of this world! - So are all the rest of your creations really. Too bad this one doesn't exist in the real world.
Bomonster - that Merc is perfect!
Really authentic aged look to those photos Hotrd32.
Nikc (BBB) - fantastic idea with great girls to boot! Your 57 is a very lucky car!
Ger - I love that effect of the faded out background with the colorful Mustang funny car
Gav Black - that blown 32 is so intense! Love the color and the way it jumps off the screen.

And of course this one by Jigger definitely deserves note:

Man that seat is awesome. I really like the quilting on the seat back.

  8. Awesome start to the show this week everyone.
I had this piece I started awhile back and finally finished it.
I totally dig the Diamond Deuce and Jeff's work (among many others here) consistantly encourages and inspires me.
I hope Mr. Norwell doesnt mind me having a little fun.

Well, since Jigger posted a Superbird I guess I will too. Sorry it's kind of OT, but as usual I never seem to get much on topic work.

And this one IS kind of interesting... It's a '71 Superbird a friend is building. No, Plymouth didn't build a '71 Superbird but they WERE in development. It's just that NASCAR effectively outlawed them by reducing the cubic inches they could run down to 305 (notice that's what it says on the hood). My friend is working from historical wind tunnel photos Chrysler took while using 3/8 scale models for development.

This particular car will be powered by an Ernie Elliot R5 NASCAR small block making 852 hp @ 9000 rpm. 852 hp from a small block!

Some of you will see this car making land speed runs at Loring and Maxton. The car is slated to debut at PRI this December.

  14. Thanks Dan! Love your work as well...
(some may be getting tired of that one)

    Likewise.

Your Unique Tin stuff is great too. as are the others.

    rrbrucea, That 'bird is super!

    Tim (Surfmonkey), cool stuff.

    Thanks Larry!!! Happy 4th, buddy.

Here's another OT subject I just wrapped on and sent to the printer. A follow up on the Steele Rubber Cadillac so many artists had been called to task on.
The "Standard of the World" was a sign of American strength, quality, leadership and independence. I love that this car has been in one family all it's life and that a successful company was built around the desire to preserve it. Wonder how many H.A.M.B. members
have been served by their existence?

Nothing too new this week. I've been working in that garage some and on O/T stuff for modern cars. I did get the task of putting together some of my illustration work for someone and got a little geeked about showing it off. Here's a sample that spans a few years worth of stuff.
