Is that red car in the middle a "300"? I can't be sure with the hood up and some of the trim and headlight bezels gone.

  5. Jimi, I believe that is a 1955 Hudson.

Few hundred late model cars. Those posted were the only vintage not yet scrapped. Treated my buddy right on parts prices.

We have a winner! It's a '55 Hudson. Though I thought it was a Chrysler in the beginning to.

Jeez, you guys have better brains & memories than I do! HUGE THANKS! Hell, I wonder if the Twin-H 308 is still in there, since Hudson kept using the Hornet engine in '55/6, even though the body was "Hash."

i know im going to get flamed for this (especially since im new),but ive always wanted to do something like this only with a car thats a little more attractive. if i do happen to have a place out in the country like i want, i would find a car for it, remove the front clip, engine & tranny, and any suspension parts in the way (temporarily), push it so its around a tree in the engine compartment. then reinstall everything but the hood, engine & tranny.

    scream away boys :p lol

You are correct sir, 57 has 2, 7 inch headlights with inboard park lights, 58 has 4, 5 1/4 head lights in the same basic setting with the park lights above them, and 59 is all new-ish, but similar looking with the lumpy fenders! (and if I am not mistaken I thin they run 2 different headlight sizes)

  22. Never mind the intro, I was more curious to know how a person in Iowa has a pic of an Australian Holden wagon with a tree growing out of it???

I will contribute my pics. Pulled this truck from its 20+ year resting place. Suprisingly the tires took air and held it for the journey home. I spent a few days working on it after work and got it to fire right up. Ran like a sewing machine. After talking to the guy I bought it from a little more I found out that they did a complete motor rebuild before parking it! It was like brand new internally. Even the plugs, points, cap, and rotor looked brand new. Seat looked brand new after cleaning all of the rats nests out of the interior. I never should have sold this truck!!!.........:(
