Hotel update

I have just talked to the Holiday Inn and the Residence Inn about the number of rooms available.

The Holiday Inn is just about full as of today.

The Residence Inn has only 20 to 25 rooms left on our block.

I would advise that you make your reservation ASAP.

is there going to be a host hotel this year? been waiting for info but havn't seen any yet.

Yes Sir, the Host hotel is the Holiday Inn and they will be letting us use the convention center parking lot again for bands and I believe tech also.

Check with the tech guys about that though.

BTW if both the Holiday and Residence are full there are many other hotels in the immediate area.

Holiday Inn is now sold out but I got in at the Residence.

 

are they giving any group rates this year? how huch was your room thunderrocket?

 

I think there is a reduced rate on certain rooms at both the Holiday Inn and Residence Inn. Just ask and mention the HAMB. Personally we have a good size group in a 2 BR suite at the Residence Inn and they don't offer discounts on the suites.

 

Will they have tech inspest at the track as well this year?

 

Don't know, You will have to ask the Tech guys.

just checked with the hoilday inn and scored a room. i'd keep checking there they must be having openings. and they gave us the HAMB rate same as last year.

Just made my reservation at the Holiday Inn as well!

 

I just called back and something happened, now they are "Overbooked" by 75.
This could get interesting. :|

 

WTF - My brother just made reservations there yesterday

 

they are most likely hoping that some people will not make it and they will be able to fill the rooms anyway.
at least they are telling people now and not waiting till you get there.

 

I just got 2 suites reserved today at the Residence Inn, no problem.

 

I got one at the Holiday Inn today no problem.

I just got off the phone with Lisa at the Residence Inn and I got the last room/suite available at this time. It's possible that there will be cancellations but don't chance it. Get a room reserved somewhere in Joplin if you want to stay.
