I still need to scan all 500 billion photo albums he has but here are just a few pics...

He was big into Corvairs for a while and made a Spyder wagon out of a wrecked Spyder and a good wagon.

The shoebox with Buick headlights belonged to his friend...

The "Kiss a Toad" van was later turned into a Seattle undercover police van.

Who recognizes the pink grill...anyone...anyone? Come on you can do it....

I will eventually scan all his pics but there are a ton of albums and several big boxes of photos from the Seattle area and beyond documenting a lot of North West car history. Everything from FED's to full customs to bone stock.

There was absolutely no doubt that I'd be a gearhead, the B&W is of Dad and his first car (that would run) it wound up getting a "new" '48 merc flathead as the original somehow froze and cracked the block...

The Caddy, was the last one Dad got to finish, we shoehorned a '78 425 in it...the speedometer was hung well past the registed 120 mark...no I didn't do; Dad did outrunning "some kid in an old blue chevy pickup"...still don't know who it was he left in the rearview :D

Not my father, but my father in law, John Patton (God rest his soul) and his future wife, Dottie Ahle, both top left, with some friends, and Emmy, his '33? Plymouth coupe at Caroga Lake in the late '40's.

Not really HAMB friendly, but here's my Dad's '67 Royal Plum Chevelle SS. It rolled out of gear and went down a hill at a local sshopping center in 1972. Totalled it. The 2nd pic is at my grandparent's house which still looks the same today even though they're both gone. :(

This is my Dad's '60 Sunliner. That's me in the stroller in October '64...
I guess I was more interested in the car than the camera! :D
    [IMG]

In Early ' 65 He traded the Sunliner in for a 289 4 spd Mustang...
This was on one of our many Road Trips in it.

Uncle Bob's '40 Deluxe. Dayton, Ohio 1950. I tried to enlarge the photo to I.D. the decals in the quarter window but it was too fuzzy.

Uncle Bob's Chopped/Channelled '32. Bell Gardens, California 1953. After this was sold off my Dad and Grandfather saw it a a used car dealer one day. The salesman told my Grandpa he could take it since it was still in his name. My dad who was about 13 at the time begged him but Grandpa refused. Considering how tight my Grandpa was with money this is almost impossible to believe. I'm surprised he didnt at least take it to sell it off. I've heard about this car for years but never saw pictures until my Aunt sent me these:

Uncle Bob's '39. This car had more custom work done to it than you can shake a stick at.

Written on the back of the picture:

"This is the way the car looked when I got it except fot the bumpers. It had '47 Ford bumpers. I changed it to '40 Lincoln. It had a chopped hood but it was all dented."

From the back of the photo:

"Lowered the front fenders about five inches after this was taken."

From the back of the photo:

"Since this was taken I straightend the bumper up and put a '49 Chevy guard on the license."

From the back of the photo:

"Radiused front fenders, trimmed bottoms and rolled them under."

Thats my Grandmother sitting in front of the car.

This is my dad's first car. I believe it is a '46 Chevy.
The picture is from about 1954 and just before the car was T-boned on the way to Sunday dinner. Models are my sister and me.
Dad went thru a long phase of wagons after that:
'56 Plymouth Savoy wagon with factory record player
'62 Rambler Ambassador wagon 327/250 hp with 3sp OD and posi 4.11.
    '65 283 Chevelle wagon
    '68 Rambler wagon
