The first picture of Pam in the today i thought she looked like Gena Davis (classy) no one could hold a candle to the Pam of the 70's.

Just a quick story about Wild JJ. I was at the old Iwindale strip, must have been 1975 ish. They had the fire-up lane where they would push the top fuel cars to get them started. it ran right in front of the chainlink fence on the pit side grandstands. Anyway, I'm leaning on the fence waiting for JJ to come to the line when we all hear a ruckus up the track - here comes JJ doing burnouts up the fire-up lane, I swear I could have reached out and slapped the top of his car when he went by except i was covering my ears. JJ proceeded to come to the line and make his burn out, as he backs up ( I don't remember Pam being there) the next flopper to run had moved up to stage, they had the body up with the lift bar in place and old JJ backs up right into the lift bar of the waiting flopper and bends the crap out of it. Man those were the days, now days you need a pair of binoculars to even see the race.

Always followed JJ in the magazine coverage of the drags (before the days of ESPN, Speed channel, etc) and was saddened by his death.
Great to hear Pam is still with us and doing well!!

This photo was just posted on a Facebook page. Can anyone ID the track? Seems very wide, and the stands are at a strange angle.

My first National Event was the AHRA Nats at Dragway 42, I believe there is a pic. of you with the white shorts on and tank top, ( B&W PHOTO )
I was up watching my hero , Stan Bowman and his Flying Dutchman FC, don't remember much but some how you have stayed with this young man forever, go figure.
I finally got to meet you at Bruce Larsons party 2 years ago and introduced you to my wife, Carol who told you that you were her insperation while she backed me up in our gasser, to which you responded, " HE DOESN'T MAKE YOU WEAR HOT PANTS DOES HE " We still laugh about that when she backs me up.
