Flathead V8 + Automatic trans

  1. I will be getting an early 50's Ford Flathead engine my plan is to adapt an automatic C4 transmission to it do I need an adapter plate to make this work and where can I get one. This will be for my next project. Any help is appreciated.

    Check out Flat-o-matic..they got a adapter kit for c4 to 49-53 flatheads

    Like rg49merc said, look up flat-o-matic. Speedway motors also sells a kit to do it as well.

    With the Speedway kit,you can even put an AOD behind it!:D

    It's traditional if it's not traditional... unless it's someone you know....
     
  12. Well now I have my 32 with the V12 Lincoln engine I figure I would build something different for my next project.
