I hope you did'nt use them at the porta-poddys at the L.A.Roadster show , I heard they ran out of toilet paper, plus they have a glossy finish, man that would make a mess, I love the work vic did on the flyer , bitchen art work , I have one hanging on the wall of my garage, take care buddy and hope you guys come back soon!

I went last year good turn out, I should be there after work this time

 

Blew first gear out this past sunday. SCE power was out 24 hrs. Pulled Motor & trans in the dark with a head flashlight. Hope to have it back together by Saturday.

 

Can;t get rid of me that fast. See you there!

small show, but some cool cars, interesting mix

 

Stopped by for a bit today. Some real cool cars out there this year. Ill post pics soon.

 

I went to both the Beatnick Blowout in Ventura and this show. Except for a gold El Camino and a few other cars in Ventura, Pomona was more to my taste. I wish I had spent more time at the Shifters show in Pomona. Good job, Shifters!!!

Thanks, Shifters. My wife (not a car person) and I stopped by about 5:30 p.m. Even at that late hour there was a fine variety of cars from pretty rough to completely finished. Apart from one '80s Camaro they were H.A.M.B.-friendly. The only kind of old car my wife appreciates is what she calls a "sinister Mercury" -- the '49-'51 so she was happy to see several of those along with a salmon colored '55-era Stude. I got her to go out in the heat to the show by combining it with dinner. We ate outside in the shade at a nearby restaurant on 2nd Street as some of the cars were leaving. Seeing them on the road is big plus, especially when the Purple People Eater cranked up for a block or so to its trailer. The Best Unfinished Custom (early '50s dark brown Chevy) was really deserving of the award. The builder did a great job of incorporating the Olds taillights into the rear fenders among many other well-executed mods.

For those who missed this show, you've got to go next year. How can you pass up free?

 

Yes, a big Thanks!!! This show was awesome!!!No complaints here, just need more trees or shade (Hahahaha). But it was cool to see cars coming and going while walking around downtown.
