  5. I feel bad, I totally missed your booth! Thanks for the Texans flying in formation, that was cool. I was at Titus' booth in the swap when they came by.................you know how to get 5000 car guys to look away from vintage parts? Fly WW2 trainers overhead like that! The scene was wonderfull!

  6. Thanks for the pics... It was a great show, my first one... so much to see .
Every kind of hot rod and just when you think you've seen it all ... something new, different, great, or just plain wrong will drive by.

just a heads up - found this on a site total registered cars at Back to the 50's

"The Minnesota Street Rod Association announced that 11,512 street rods, custom cars and classics were registered in the show at the Back to the '50s Car Show in Minnesota this weekend. The number fell just short of the record set last year when about two hundred more cars showed up. But in a recession year, Back to the '50s proved how popular it is by putting on a great show in the face of a down economy."

can't remember the year off hand when NSRA was at the 50's the attendance was well over 13,000 registered cars

Actually this year at the 50's there were 11,731 cars registered, about 60 less than the record from two years ago. The last time NSRA was in St Paul they registered 11,202 cars. The last time NSRA had a larger event was in Louisville in 1998.

Kudos to Brian Medford of AutoTraderClassics for the BEST photo coverage of the BTT50's. I was impressed with his coverage last year, but this year he topped even that. THANK YOU BRIAN from MSRA L-1, Jerry Johnson

Thank Jerry, funny to think though that I only captured 1/10 of the show. It is that big. I took my family with me on Saturday. As I photographed a street line of cars I'd have them meet me at the end of the corner, then we'd plan the next route. I still didn't walk the whole show though. It just isn't possible in a 3 day period. My almost 2-year old son loved it. Unfortunately he currently associates all vehicles with open wheels as "tractors". That got some funny looks from people. Oh well, he knows how to work a manual choke though!

  19. Always a great show... thanks for the photography!!
