I found this one and it made me smile. Dad's '67 Continental 2 door. I think this was in Florida, summer 1970 and we were going to a brand new place that had just opened called Disney World. Poor Dad probably came close to murdering us 500 times!

Loved that old Lincoln. What did your dad have for a pride and joy when you were a kid?

  7. Got a pic of my dad standing behind his new '39 Ford convert. There he is young and sassy at about 22 years. Just before Pearl Harbor and we went off with the Army Air Corps as a P-38 pilot in the pacific. Trying to find the photo now and I'll get it posted......

My dad gave this one away for a song... I'm still a little bitter about that.

My Dad's '38 Sedan Delivery. It had a chevy v8 and the rear was pulled from a '57 chevy. This photo is from 1972 or so - that is me on the center of the hood, with my brother/sister sitting on the headlights.

Dad said this Cadillac convertible had U.S. Royal Master tires molded out of blue rubber to match the paint and top. I love how he's driving his remote control promo model on the trunk.

The first one is my dad on my folk's wedding day. I wish he had kept that one. The second one is of me trying to figure out Grandpa's mower,, while I should have been checking out his car in the background.

Thanks for the kind words. I totally agree and I am so glad he still has it. That car will never leave this family.

The car is somewhat apart right now. He is in the process of making it more reliable. Losing the auto trans and vette independent rear in favor of a 9" and a 5 speed. Also gonna be on a new chassis for now. Will be back on the original deuce frame eventually.

Next time im in mooresville we will try and get together. His neighbor has three 32s. A coupe, roadster and a steel pickup.

Dad's '58 DeSoto. Westminster, California 1966. The car had black Tuck & Roll and ran Astros W/Inglewood Cheater Slicks. One morning my Dad came out to go to work and the big rock at the end of his driveway with the address painted on it was stuck under the front of the car.............the Astros on the front were missing.

Heres a closeup of the wheels & slicks:

The Slicks were switched out when the car spun on the 405 freeway on the way to work one morning in the rain. Thankfully no one was hurt and there was no damage to the car.

Dad's '54. The truck had Radirs on the back and his old club plaque can be seen below the rear window. I still have the plaque.

Westminster, California 1970. This was my Dad's Fastback that he traded to my Grandpa for a '63 Comet. The Comet was then used as a trade in for Dad's '67 Shelby GT 350.

Dad's '48 Chevy pickup. He paid $300 bucks for it in 1971. He ended up trading it for a roll away tool box/tools.

This is the pic used in Rod & Custom's "Young Guns". Dad made the Carson style top out of conduit, old stolen canvas, and black shellack.
