    My cousin, John Lawson, runs top fuel funnies and some vintage funnies and he had the samething happen last year too. Something about one of the makers of these gear boxes had this happen often.
     
  2. Was he dragging a Chevy Cruze?;) I agree that the very end was priceless when he says 'F'n steering wheel" and tosses it in disgust!:D

    Damn. the actual gearbox broke! those things don't generally have a coupler or anything there- think cowl steering. the shaft is pretty short, and apparently, kinda weak!

    Russ is a great guy and can drive the shit out of anything with wheels, especially if the steering wheel stays put..:)

    Thankfully this doesn't happen very often... I give him points for keeping it together relatively well... Every once in awhile the drag racing Gods deal you a wildcard, it's your job to play the hand well...

    when the drag racing Gods throw you a curve ball, you best be ready for it...
