Motion Pictures "A Sweet Sickness: The Flathead Movie"

I don't, I wish they all sounded healthier rather than one that sounds like the distributor cap wasn't on right and it was missing and popping.

 

You know, I was wondering about that. As it drove past I noticed that the engine looked fairly stock. I originally thought it had a really hot cam, high compression...etc but now that you mention it I suppose it only wishes it did. Still...

 

But before that cap gave him trouble it sounded super super healthy.

 

Much better. I like to hear open headers crackling and a flathead has that special sound. I'm still on my first flathead and it's a stocker but I have made some open headers and get a pop every now and then which makes me smile. That's why I'm eagerly waiting this movie to come out and why I posted the sound clip. 345winder sure has a cool fiver. Flatheads make me feel good.

 

I still stick to that FLATHEADS are the only hot rod engine that can be run in stock form and still sound rad. Anything else sounds like a turd unless you put some work into it but a FLATHEAD.....oh it's so fucking nice sounding and anything else on top your do to it just makes it better and better.

It was the H.A.M.B. (in a posted video) where I heard my first flathead. I immediately knew I had to have one so I bought my avatar car which had a running 8BA so I'm a new flathead owner. Threads like this about movies like this about Flatheads are my favourites (next to build threads which push me out to the garage almost physically).

It looks awesome as a proud flathead owner. I commend your dedication to that damn fine engine.

The other film follows a couple of guys on a coast to coast motorcycle race (starting in North Carolina, and ending in California).

All of the bikes are pre-1916. It's jam packed with break downs, road side repairs, even motor rebuilds in hotel parking lots. The perfect recipe for a road trip movie.

 

Sounds like another must have movie! Keep 'em coming
