there's just someting about those huge ovals on the 1960-61 Chevy hoods that I love ~ even more so if it's a GMC tho. It's jet-age but country classic at the same time!

Nice '63, that grill is cherry. Didn't realize they were aluminum also. Will have to hunt for one.

I got a 61 bel air (the bucket) and may have that for a while. I may try to sell it though. So far I cut the coils, had floors fixed and mexi blanketed the seats. Nothin special but it will have to do until I can find another truck.

I almost lost a buddy on the road that way. I was taking a turn around
under the highway in San Antonio, and the door flew open, while he was
leaning on it... He went spread eagle like a damn cat in a bucket of water..!
It was funny as hell, but also very scary at the same time.

    That's bad-ass!

I'd love to get one of those, or a 1-ton long panel, and add a set of step-side fenders (narrowed appropriately) to the fleetside box (or panel quarters) and make a factory-looking dually as a tow rig.

HAHA, I did that too in my '51 Coupe one time. What a laugh- we were going slow enough that he wouldn't have gotten hurt too bad, I yelled over "tuck-n-roll"

I couldn't resist... I have to throw my bucket on here. I love this old truck. My boss calls it the "moonshine runner". I want to get a bumper sticker made that says: "You boys better hold on, cause i'm gonna have to stand on it." That is from the movie "Stroker Ace". In case you didn't get the reference.

Here is a clip from the 1983 Burt Reynolds Flick about a race car driver that grew up hauling "Shine" back in his early days.

    Enjoy.

NuckinFutz, That panel is NICE!!! I have been looking for an Apache hood like that for my truck. They just look cool! No luck yet, but my ear is to the ground for one close enough to drive and pick up.

Let me know if you decide to get rid of or pass on that short-step... My son wants a '60-'66 short step in the worst way for his Junior Year of highschool (he gets his license in a couple weeks)
