Did someone crash their Anglia in a hotel parking lot? I heard an Anglia smashed into two Power Tour cars, then hit a tree, resulting in the drivers death. Something about a stuck throttle. Must not have been a HAMBer.

I've searched all over the web and didn't find anything like that. Mostly comes up with that Camaro crash from last year.

  8. Scary stuff there. Best wishes for the guy involved. Stay safe out there.

  9. Sometimes good can come out of bad. Hopefully with the insurance money he will get rid of that nasty, ugly as hell paint job.

Jeez. I just don't know how that could happen! One would have had to have been hauling ass through that show lot!

Dont let my wife see these as she will never let me put my baby in an old car again!

That was from last year. The Anglia is fresh news. Looks like someone vandilized the car too. Who would do such a thing. Sad.

The "Anglia" is an Austin A35 - totally different beast....

  16. Yea and the light pole didn't fall down either.
    Its like playing telephone.

I'm sorry that someone got hurt, maybe this gets t out of the way and the tour will be smooth sailing from here on out, if the fella comes out all right that will make it almost a win-win.

Rumors start from people not reading.

"The driver of the car was at the Muskegon venue. He was fine from what I hear. He didn't have a heart attack or anything. He was messing around and lost control of his car, thankfully no one else was injured. That is from the event sponsors mouth."

Sounds to me like the guy was showing off and the throttle stuck.

I didn't write the title and his paint sucks. I don't think it's funny to screw around in a parking lot either.
I was in a parade last weekend and Idled the whole time. People were asking me to rev it up, etc. But I would not with children along the street. A group of Harley riders, however were screwing around so much, I thought pistons were going to spray the crowd. Not cool.

I agree that it's not cool to kick a guy while he's down, but I think the guy was probably screwing around where he shouldn't have been.

I realize that, but it is his car

yours wasnt the only off color remark..so I wasnt zeroed in on just you

trust me , im just as disgusted,, but more with the actions of the driver, then the paint job

always have to have some guy at the show where cars are packed in..and a lot of pedestrian traffic, and some one has to show off

Im glad no one died..hopefully the title of this thread, if it lasts.. will get changed

Can I clear up something? It's a Flying A "Austin". Not an Anglia. I know it makes no difference here, the result is the same, but many people mistake Austins for Anglias. This is a bad deal and another reason I never took my Austin drag car to a car show. I had the throttle stick on the injection hat at the hood opening on a county road years ago and luckily I only took out two rows of corn.
