I think a '96 is too late, but I seem to remember some guys talking on oldihc.og about using the front clip of earlier model ('80s if I remember correctly) full size pickup. basically unbolt from the donor and bolt to the new, with some modifications of course. If you haven't checked it out, try http://oldihc.com there is a ton of information strictly geared towards Internationals. Not to say you won't get great info here, but the guys over there know their Internationals.
It will never be a blue chip investment. Read this for some more ideas. http://oldihc.org/truck-talk/modifying-you-ih-truck/thinking-frame-swap/
Depends on who's buying it. Some may make a big deal about it, others may not. Personally, I'd use the original and if you ever sell it. The owner knows what they are getting, with maybe some mods if you clip it or anything.
my 52 Chevy 3100 sits on a late 70s Malibu frame, nobody really knows unless I tell them. I got power steering and disk brakes, I'm happy with it whether its traditional or not.
Hello just wondering if you anyone can tell me how to rebuild the steering box on my 57 s 120 pick up?It is in pretty ruff shape I think when I pulled the steering column out a bunch of little ball bearing fell out and it currently binds sometimes when steering .Also wondering about putting on a hydraulic assist cylinder. Can anyone tell me a good place to buy parts for this?
Check out Rock Auto, great selection of parts for these Binders and other classics in general. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
