I have some stuff I want to send out over the winter to get chromed. I've dealt with a place in PA before, nice work but they take way too long. I'm pretty sure theres some hamber platers out there, or at least give me some names of places you've had luck with. If I have to mail stuff to PA I might as well mail it to CA. FWIW I've got a nice steering column, column drop, and column shifter I want to get done.

I worked for a few years at a chrome shop, it's now called Custom Plating Specialists (used to be T&J plating) and they do fantastic work. It's not cheap or super fast, but the owner, Terry, is a man of his word. I can get you his contact info if you'd like to call him. It's right in my hometown of Brillion, so if there was ever a problem, I'm just down the road.

Hey , I had some work done buy place in Philly called DGM chrome plating.
Did exceptional quality .The owner was real nice to deal with and knowlegable. I used him a couple of times on recommendation from some one else.
Turn around time wasn't to bad a little longer than I was told but real nice chrome and fair. Hope this helps

x2 on DGM Plating and polishing. He's in Philadelphia and an Olds guy. Last I knew, he was working on a '61 Olds bubbletop. Don Maloney is the guy....learned the business from his dad. Same shop, been in the same location for a lot of years. Does a lot of custom Harley stuff.

With all the EPA regulations in California prices are through the roof! I am currently looking to send a bumper to Nevada or Oregon for rechroming. Can anyone recommend shops in those two states?
    Thank you.

  8. You guys can also look up ChromePlaterJosh here on the HAMB. While I have not had any work done by him myself, I've see some of the work he's done posted here on the HAMB and it looks nice.
