looks like 39 psi boost took advantage of a crank and/or block problem. 16% definitely isnt the cause of that carnage what did the autopsy reveal?
Yes they are. The straps keep the blower and injector from flying up in the air when there is an explosion!!!!!!!!!!
man talk about metal damage , that first mill blown apart made me cringe , glad i never saw a failure like that
Gary, I know that you know this, but some of the others might not. The studs are aluminum so they break and this DOES happen, if they didn't, the carnage would be a LOT worse and MUCH more expensive. TR
Here is some schrapnel from a top fuel Keith Black hemi engine that came apart on a run circa 1991. These came from the "Madness" top fuel hydro that ran in the IHBA and was driven by the late Ron Braaksma. Nice little souvenirs from a race at Firebird Lake.

it dont compair to the other pics but i blew the 3 and 5 cylinder piston ring on my 327 sbc was in my 91 s10 blazer was a mid 11s car racing a 07 Vet to work still beat it and still got me home pull the motor out and thats what i found its getting a big block now shooting for the 8's
