Brendog has opted out for the support truck position.

Anyone else out there with an early truck, that wants to drive around with a bunch of roadsters?

Really looking forward to this. Rain or shine.

While scouting the run, I came across a water crossing from the recent rains.

Trying to see if I can post a video of it.

It may be dry by the time we get there, or we may get to have some fun.

How many of you guys would want to drive through 2 to 5 of these crossings?

Just to clarify for some of you......

You will not have to drive through the water crossings,....... unless you want to.

There is a route that does not go through the water........which I am sure most people will want to take.

I just had fun driving through the water and the scouting run.

And also to clarify, this is not a "rat rod" event.

It is a traditional Hot Rod event.

    Thanks

yeah between no rat rods and stream crossing I think I ruined it altogether.

I have heard a lot of guys are concerned about the water.

DON'T WORRY, you Don't have to cross any streams or even puddles.

We will take the best roads we can find to get from here to there.

We will take bridges over any bodies of water.

So come have some fun. I am sorry if I scared anyone off.

I have never owned or even been in a four wheeler, so I guess I thought my roadster would be the next best thing.:)

I see that the east coast guys will drive through mud puddles and around a dirt track just for fun, maybe the west coast guys have gone soft with all the sunshine. I am a CA native,
and that jalopy showdown looks like a hell of a lot of fun.

    Carry on.

Water, dirt, mud that's the fun stuff! Don't be afraid to scare a few off.
Sometimes shit's just meant to be.

You already chased off the late model motors. :D

The pic of the water crossing made it look like the UK reliability runs, and they look fun.

The T now charges it's own battery, no more hoppy tire at 60, and soon enough it'll have headlights that work.

Found a navigator and a route from Southern Oregon to the run that's mostly backroads and the 101.

    I'm getting excited.:D

I can't scare off the guys putting on the run;)

I am thinking that for you guys, like myself, who want to drive through the stream......
I will offer a detour for us to go have some fun, and let the rest of the guys stay dry.

Though if we keeping getting more rain, it may become unpassable. it does in high water.

The stream crossing was vetoed by the powers that be for the whole run.

I am glad you guys are up for it.

Honestly, this will be a lot of fun even if you don't cross a stream.
    I can't wait.

Oh and if you click on the stream picture, it should link to a video.

Rain out date is next Saturday, June 11th.

Forcast is for over an inch of rain on this Saturday, June 4th.

I will be there rain or shine for anyone that wants to go in the rain.

But the official run will get bumped to the following Saturday, June 11th.

    Same time and place.

Please contact one of us to let us know you can go on the new date, or if you are coming rain or shine.

I know it is Northern Ca, but damn this rain in June.

    Hell Nick,

With all of this rain, even if we wanted to go that route, honestly those streams will be unpassable.

Good news is next week looks like it will be sunny.

I believe they are going this Saturday, June 11, Gary. I was going to volunteer a truck, but I will be at Peggy Sue's Cruise in Santa Rosa this weekend.

Yes it has been moved to this coming Saturday.

I just put my motor and tranny back in the car last night.

Good thing it was not last Saturday, as I had taken three teeth off the cluster gear.

Oh coarse I did not discover this until I went to leave Sat. morning.

All better now, and will button it up today, and hope to be driving Friday.

Nothing like down to the wire.....I may be getting too old for this late night thrashing. :)

Hope to see anyone that can make it for some fun.

    Cheers

Just booked my room for Fri night at the America's Best Inn for $67 with tax, but you gotta call for the rate and it's just down the road from the meeting point and Lagunitas brewery

Come on up, the other folks that were going to be the support truck can't make it.

So if you can pull if off, come drive that thing with us.

I finally got my car back together about 12:00 am.

Maybe I'll see some of you guys tomorrow.......or I mean today;)

    Cheers
