Here you go... In the future use .jpg or .jpeg files. Right side up helps too. Edit: Beaten by RichG damnit...
WOW! That sure has all the right things going for it IMO. Nice to see a real steel T body being used, it sits perfect.
Hey George, I've never seen this T before but it is really cool. Is it something you are restoring or building from a bunch of neat old parts? By the way I thought you got credit for bringing Rotar back...I could have sworn I'd seen it in print a bunch. If not that is a bummer. That is so cool that you got the Joe Barnett tub back together. I was floored to see it last year at the L.A. Roadster Show! -Aaron
the mystery is does it look familiar? The style! It is all mine from beginning to end just the right pieces. Flames are yet to come with purple fuzz carpet and purple t&r with white top and tonneau cover. Almost done, too long in the process and can taste it now! Hopefully i can get an article on it some day as affirmation of all the cuts, burns, dents in my body. Small distraction in remodeling the Kona house. More to come as it gets to the end then the other project! George
Mark, Regarding the Surf Angel: By now you should know I get sidetracked easy. To make sure I do not forget about it all I have done lately is get some chrome done. This t is as you know the latest sidetrack besides houses and empty lots in Hawaii. Another side track is a roth trike with a sugar bear frontend. Should be cool when doen. I promise as soon as the t is done I will be back on the SA. I am not good at getting pics up so I will try for a few more. The chrome is by my neighbor in Oceanside,Ca NORTH COUNTY PLATING. I do all the grinding and blocksanding of the copper. FYI I am doing this in Oceanside as my other house is being redone. On the rebound!
That finger in the first set of pics freaked me out! But the open drive conversion, is it Henry or something else? I like it better than Speedway.
That is a stock ford truck rear that was open drive. There was one year that they switched to open drive but it was still a banjo. Mine I think came out of a 48 pickup but I have heard henry did have some in 46 and 47. because it is a well designed stock deal, not a conversion they are sought after so do some searching and you will find one. Only problem is they are usually 4:11
Is that the body? Looks GREAT! You know my heart will FOREVER be broken that I identified the Barnett T in your garage and ultimately lost it in the LAST 5 seconds on ebay to someone that read about it in my Rodder's Journal story and had to have it. My dad had the high bid for a week until the last seconds.
Jim Strange thing, this did start with the side panels you and I went and picked up from Bill Booth(another early times member) but as it was nearing a decision point on how good I want this thing to be I replaced them with some better specimens so the original sides that started this project are in the rafters. Might make a good base for a sign? What are you doing?
