i agree with the wires, just go a little bigger on the front. Those look a bit small. dont do 5 spokes, think outside the box some..

I have to agree on the cost of them, they are up there for sure but oh so cool. You could go with some supremes also, those would be better than just a 5 spoke in my opinion.

Thanks for the compliment. That's very nice of you. I tgink my next project will have to be a 59, 60 f100. I think I will have to see what I can come up with for one of them.

Great thread. I've really taken a liking to the Refrigerator Effies over the last couple years. Lowering the nose really makes a world of difference for the styling.

Well here are a few pics of the '59 i found for $400. It's pretty rough and not sure if its too big a project? Really bad on right side cab... The engine is a 351 and it does turn over.

Maybe you shouldn't call them Refrigerators, then. ;)

  22. A '57 - '60 Ford truck looks exactly like a refrigerator, more so than anything else of that era, except maybe an International!

And, both Philco-Ford and IH built...refrigerators! I'm guessing some of the design engineers from both companies worked in both sections. Just a guess.

  24. Ha.. That happens alot.. Just look at the PT cruiser and a Chevy HHR.. The same guy that designed the PT left Chrysler.. Then got a job with GM.. Then created the same thing.. I hope he's changed career's by now..
