I am very proud to announce the birth of my daughter, Evie Claire Hendrix, on June 1st 2011!!!!! I have to say HOLY COW!!!!! I never thought having children could be this enjoyable. I have had about 10 hrs sleep over the last four days and I am ok with that! Evie was born on 6/1/2011, was 19 1/2 inches long and weighed 5lbs. 15oz. And to make things really cool, June 1st is my parents anniversary! I could go on for hours about how life has changed but nobody wants to hear me babble, they want to see the baby. So heeeerrrrrrreeeeee's Evie:
Beautiful Girl! Got the same b-day and my first born......but he just turned 30! Brings back memories.
Absolutely ! It's quite a fantastic thing to experience . My little girl just turned 3 this week ... hard to believe . Congrats !
Congrats Dad! I still remember when my daughter was born... and that's going on twenty years ago now!
I still remember being the proud new papa. Still a proud papa, but it's been a few years since a newborn! Congrats and welcome to parenthood! Lippy
Congratulations on your entry to real life. Until you have kids, you are stuck in the preliminary event.
Congratulations. I'm trying to figure out what's the proper age for my daughter to learn to weld. She's five and a half. We were supposed to do a playhouse this spring, looks more like this summer now, she can (sometimes, when she's not too tired) drive a screw with the drill more or less by herself, and she's done the circular saw with daddy's help - bought her ear muffs to go to the Laguna Seca vintage races from cheaperthandirt.com but they work quite nicely for other things too...
Way to go! Congrats, man. Those young'uns change the way you look at everything! My two are grown, my wife has four that are grown, and our granddaughter was born in the same hospital on Christmas Eve of '09.
Congrats man!! I feel ya on the no sleep thing, the important thing is that you were there to support your wife and meet the little one fresh out. I became a dad for the first time in March, and my daughter is old enough now that when you pick her up she can recognize you and she smiles so HUGE!!! It's the greatest thing ever and it makes my heart melt every time. Kids change your world, there's no doubt about that.
Next thing ya know you are handing her your keys,, watch out,, they grow up fast, hang on, you'll make it your new life has just begun not sure if congrats is the right word, but congrats and good luck
