I have one in "The Ghost Rider Roadster" but have not had the opportunity to drive it yet. The car will be coming home to Thunder Bay later this month and once I get a few details sorted out with the brakes, I will post the results of Super "B" hooked to the GM 200c tranny.

Contact FAST. They have all the rules. They even put on events at Airports, so you don't need a hill. Get a hold of Jim B. before he lets go of the group !!!!

what are your experiences with exhaust systems headers length of headers one pipe dual systems what performs best?

 

I think you need more compression than a banger Ford can make to see much difference in tube header styles .... I would say generally make something that looks nice

I like the idea of a flat hill climb..... like the guy that brought the water skis and went looking for a lake with a slope!

 

I posted this at the end of last month's meet. I'm reposting in case some missed it.
I think it's some useful info........


I recall the several queries regarding original generators not charging......mine rescently fell into that catagory. I just returned from the garage after the repair. I found the wire for the adjustable brush broken inside the insulation. I hope this info helps those that, like me, have been pulling their hair out!!

Also, after coil number 3, I replaced it with coil number 4 and swapped out the modern silicore resistor wires and made a set of solid core wires from a vintage roll of 7mm cable my Pop gave me. I had suspected the wires we're taking the coils out before........we'll see. Also a noticable difference in performance, throttle response and idle quality......

I have been to the flat "Hill" climb in Norwood Iowa a couple of times. I can't imagine anyone having more fun just because they are going up hill. These guys have a great time.

Dave, it is only 720.6 miles from Bay City to Northwood, IA. See you on September 10 for the 8th annual flat hill climb.

 

Are there any banger happenings in NorCal? My '29 Tudor is nowhere near ready to go, but I'd like to check out some cars and chat with the owners. I'd love to go to the antique nat's but it's 7 hours one way and I'd have to do it all in one day!

 

I went to the Cruisin' Nationals in Santa Maria last weekend and saw this awesome pickup. Never managed to bump into the owner. Does it belong to anyone here?

 

We would be happy to have you attend the Northwood, IA hillclimb on the 10th of September. You could even come the day before and do a shop tour, eat some good food and then go watch "American Graffiti" at a private drive-in theater. We do like to have a good time. And it is only 374.23 miles from your house to ours.

Mike, that is one sweet truck! I was hoping to hear it run. I probably dropped by every half hour while I was there on Saturday. I'm planning to build my sedan in a similar style, using a lot of the original "A" stuff. Probably no fenders, though. Where did you get those front tires? They are radials, right? Thanks, Mike, and great job!

A hill.
Living in the flatlands on the east side of the UK, I've done some auto testing and twisty sprints in my T-V8, but all our hill climbs are at least 200 miles away to the west. Not far but at £6 a gallon a food or fuel decision away...

Did Prescott last year, and now Shelsley - the plan is to get this done for next season and build another engine for it.

 

any pics of how the parking brake is mounted I have same kit minus that,
and will have to fab something or buy it

what is a good fuel pump to feed 2 81's on a hopped up B
can i just use the stock fuel pump or do i need to go to a 6 volt electric

Here is a source for info on the stock pump. S O S S had an article in the recent past about the pump and it seemed to show the pump had enough volume. I would be using one now but can't with my headers. They are regulated to 1.5 lb. I have read that they have the same internal parts as the early V8 pumps. Here is a link to all things "B" with comparisons to "A" where applicable. Very informative site! Guys used to carry spare under the seat or at least a spare diaphragm.
