I am looking at this 30 Ford Sedan as a first hot rod purchase. Nice build, 401 nailhead, 700R4 tranny, Ford 9" rear, basically all new parts and interior. My only reservation is the topless body. Any opinions?

depends on the weather where you are and how much driv'n ya want to do....

A tall top on such a channeled car would look funny IMO....

    Good luck.

I would pass on it because you don't like the topless part. It would not be easy to modify the cowl/winshield posts to make a top. I also agree that because it is channeled, the top may need to be too tall.

It may be a hard car to sell if you really dislike it after a while.

It's got a nice stance, and looks like great family fun. It's up to you if you want something like that.

There are plenty of cars out there & if you're questioning a major part of it (that can't be easily corrected) , then move on........

That's very similar to what I want to build... being 6'5" has it's drawbacks!

I think it looks pretty good except for the windshield. If you could do something closer to the stock open car setup, I think the car would be passable. If the price was right (because of the configuration), I'd be all over it, especially with a nailhead. :)

    Not my thing...

    You asked..

Have fun with it though. If you're into it, that's all that matters.

Too bad the windshield area wasn't done so well. It's a likeable enough car but for that...well, and those seats...well...nevermind.

  13. pass.. i agree as above, the window and seats.

As above but I'll add rims and tires as well.

My personal opinion, there isnt much to like.

It looks like a Streetrod, and not a very good one.

    Except for the Nailhead.

It would be nice to save that for another car...

I would pass, if you settle for something you sorta like you will never be happy with the car. Find something that really trips your trigger.
