Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Spoggie, Dec 26, 2010.

  1. John, I got to meet him at the big 50th anniversary race at Speedworld. He had a bunch of pictures of the car in a few diferent configurations. It was great to listen to some of his stories about the car.

Here in Sacramento in the late 60's there was a team with a bone stock wagon. The driver would wear a full top fuel fire suit, mask gloves, boots ect. Turned in the low 40's et. Name of the team? "OXYMORON RACING!!!

J R Bloom's straight 8 Buick powered Crosley in 1958. Notice 9 header pipes to freak out the other racers. Ran over 100 MPH. J.R. has Arizona racing pictures going back to the early 50's.He was AHRA's official photographer and is Member #6 in the Arizona Drag Race Hall of Fame. This is a Great guy to talk to about Arizona racing. John

Hey Guys, just came across this site for the Crosleys.....WOW Awesome. Now I'm a slotcar Manufacture and this is one of my newest rides that I'm putting out in the Slotcar world. We run on a 1/25 scale drag stripe (55ft). The timing system is run by a computer. This car is not ready for the track yet, but soon. Lets go Drag Racing

    What you think?
