Ian... I hate you man, I have been looking at this fucking thread for the past 2 hours. My wife is pissed and I have to wake up early for the swap meet tomorrow!!! Why couldn't you just build a piece of crap? I'd have been in bed hours ago with a just a dis-satisfied wife. Instead I have a dis-satisfied and pissed wife!

This fucking thing is awesome dude, unbelievable! You make me feel bad about myself... Are you happy? Haha :(

It was great meeting with you again today. Tell your wife we were pleased to meet her as well. I should have introduced my wife Christen, but I'm an asshole as she likes to put it! I get caught up in the conversation and forget my manners.. See you again soon bro!

Watch out man, BoMonster might throw a hissy fit for you using a facsimile of his original artwork for your avatar. Been known to happen. :)

I will gladly change it, a friend sent me the little cartoon in an email. He found it online sonewhere. I had no idea where it came from or who the artist was that drew it. Thanks for letting me know. I changed it to a pic of my 1988 gmc boyd coddington built truck.
    Thanks,

Ian, is there a kit that you would suggest for a newbie for doing lead? does eastwood have one?

    Thanks,

  15. Just went through the whole thread, car looks bitchin!

Have you thougth about trying to find a taillight lens (or making one) that would go top to bottom? I suggest this while I would rate myself a 1 on a 10 scale for fabrication. :)

After you lay your flux, you need to neutralize the acids in the flux.....Using Baking soda. If you dont do this step, your lead will be very rusty and you'll have paint issues!!!

Cool man, thank you for thinking that, but I got a WHOLE lot to Learn before I can do that! All my work is common sense with minimal tools and basic knowledge and patience. Thanx though! :)

    Good luck with the lead!

Ian, I might have to report you. I'm not sure that it's legal for two kustoms as nice as your '51 and now this Caddy to belong to one family! And just to let you know, an Ian Berky Kustom (or at least a chop) is officially on my bucket list. Don't worry though, I don't even have a car picked out yet!
