Olin died last night, no details as of yet... HAPPY TRAILS OLD FRIEND CHARLES FAULKNER TINKER FAULKNER
Tinker, Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I didn't know "Good Ol Olin" except for his postings on the internet. Seemed like a good guy that lived a lot of history. RIP Larry T
Hate to hear about Olin...Known the guy since the 60's. All that stuff he talked about was the real deal. From the days of "The Little Red Riding Hoodlum" Fuel Coupe, to his long association with Ron Ussery's Jr. Fuel dragster, he was having a ball at the drags. I guess cancer won the last round...RIP old friend.
I also hate to hear this but knew he was in poor health lately. Was truly a drag racer from the old days and still enjoyed them First saw him run the "little Red Ridin Hoodlem"at Great Bend nationals....probably, if this old man can remember ,about 1955 or 56.....Chas, (Tinker 51)please post funeral details as they are available.
So sorry to hear of Olin's passing, like Bob said he was truly a part of early Texas drag racing. That is the second old Texas dragracer we have lost in the last two weeks. I was just at Ed's Memorial Service last monday. Rest in peace, Olin. 408 AA/D
Damn, damn, damn! We will surely miss ole Olin. God bless all of his family amd may he be pain free now. Knowing him, he's sitting on the big end now wtaching those fuelers blast by.
